big brother, little brother

Philip stuttered and his flatulence was widely remarked in private, but none of the other kids bothered him because of his big brother.

Morris vented his rage. Say what you will about sticks and stones, but an unflattering remark about someone's nose can cut to the quick.

waiting for the invasion

She was early for the alien invasion. The planet in question was dull, but at least the wait gave her time to work on her tan.

Bonus video

Expanding on the photo-centric mission of this site, I bring you the first Slice o' Life Video. This is further coverage of the post-game celebration seen below, and although the quality is dismal (it's from my phone) it gives you a sense of the scene.

I missed last night's posting due to the World Cup post game celebration here. I didn't have my camera with me, but here's a shot of the madness in Place St. Michel a few minutes after the victory that I snapped with my phone. You can make out a guy standing on top of a city bus (the 21) waving a French flag.
